5.0 out of 5 stars Lets you explore your artistic side while building!, 30 Mar 1998
By A Customer
From advice on 'snuggling' foundation rocks together to practical explanation of creating the right mix..Becky really shows she knows how to work with earth. I began a cob bench after falling in love with photos of hers. I don't know any other way to sculpt, have fun, get dirty, and still create something useful. People might not build a whole house, but a meditation room, or garden shed, even animal house would be doable. Local cobbers I know respect her skills highly, I'd love to see more finished home and project photos. Anyone can do this, it's fun and gets you in touch with dirt!

5.0 out of 5 stars I can't heap enough praise on this book, 4 Jul 2009
By T. S. Ward "Large" (London) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is a very powerful book: the authoress has been very comprehensive in her coverage of the subject of building with cob. The format belies that fact: lots of hand drawn pictures and an easy manner could make it seem as if it were a lightweight book - but it is anything but lightweight. I eagerly pointed my browser at the web page of Becky Bee so that I could register to take one of her many courses on cob building, but alas, for unspecified reasons, other than 'unforeseen circumstances', Becky has cancelled all workshops at the moment: 2009. What a shame!

5.0 out of 5 stars An idiots guide to cob, 15 Jun 2009
I started reading this book not even really knowing what cob is and now I feel that I could build in cob myself. It seems to be a thorough book, full of diagrams and a fun, but informative read. Its title should really be 'An Idiots Guide to Building in Cob'
