it is the most comprehensive, clear and user-friendly resource book on ayurveda. The depth and mass of information avalaible will teach you something new on this ancient healing system.

After researching and getting into Ayurveda recently I wanted something a bit more in depth and suitable for my personal needs. This is perfect, everything I expected and more. A truely comprehensive read. Short of going to a practitioner or going to classes I can't see how you could better this book.

The information is surely very comprehensive and it also deserves its name. The book sometimes describes differences in the practices which is good to know but does not help if he does not recommend a best practice according to his experience. For example in Panchakarma. At least users look for usability and not just the comprehensive knowledge of the subject. I would say that this book along with Deepak Chopras Herbal Handbook and Vasant Lads Ayurvedic home remedies could prove quite useful in daily life.
