5.0 out of 5 stars The ideal book for the new alpaca owner, 5 Oct 2002
The Alpaca Book is probably the most useful piece of equipment a new alpaca owner or breeder can have.
Written by Vets, but without tempting the reader to step into an area where professional Veterinary help should be sought, this book explains, in understandable and readable manner, all the basic aspects of alpaca husbandry and care, as well as giving a fascinating insight into the history of the species.
The chapters on breeding and fibre also give the new owner essential background information to assist in the choice of extent and direction of the potential commercial aspects of his new acquisitions.
