Larry and Lin Pardey are well known yachtsmen and have sailed their home built yachts around the world. This book is really the journal of one build from building the shed to completion. I have given it only 2 stars because the standard of photography and illustration is poor. Furthermore, Larry pays no attention to Health and Safety and casts a lead keel with no personal protective equipment and apparently no special ventilation. He then proceeds to file the lump of lead into shape by hand, again no face mask, no gloves, nothing. Grossly irresponsible. That aside, there are better books on the market.

This book has no color pictures ,said that ,for the rest is a MUST for a boatbuilder.

I repeat this is a MUST for a boatbuilder SERIOUS.

If you want to build a boat this is a book you must KNOW ,WEll.
