This helps children to learn how to take control of their lives by overcoming the physical reactions to stress, to take stock of their lives through relaxation and through planning by positive imagery their improved reactions towards stressful situations. If all children had access to this approach I am sure that the National School Assessment Test national results would improve dramatically after a very short space of time. This is a very creative but practical volume with lots of good ideas. You won't be disappointed, I wasn't!

This is one of the few books we have found that has a stress management program for children. Tested in schools, this book features relaxation scripts that help children learn was to deal with stress. We used it in counseling groups and in classrooms.

We ran through the "Ready, Set, RELAX program when our child had a serious illness. It helped him overcome his fear of treatment and helped reduce the anxiety level of our whole family. I am hoping for a sequel.
