5.0 out of 5 stars A great and refreshing lesson on manufacturing, 11 Sep 2000
By Blum Thomas (Switzerland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book is a must for everybody engaged in manufacturing. It describes in a very refreshing and entertaining way how and why planning in manufacturing rarely reflects what is going to happen in reality. It is the story of an employee, together with others, helping his boss building shelfs for his garage. The boss has it all planned nicely and uses the good old way to get the job done. Of corse things go wrong and the plan didn't allow for that. Read what happens.
