The 20 day-signs, the "zodiac" of the ancient Aztecs, Maya, Toltecs, etc., cycle endlessly. People born under them appear to be influenced in specific ways. The correlation between these day-signs and the Western calendar has been a controversial topic for a long time, which is what the reader's comment is about. The most established calendar correlation is one called the Goodman-Martinez-Thompson correlation, which is the one used in this book. It's based on the inscriptions, first-hand accounts during the early Spanish invasion, and the oral tradition of the Quiche Maya. Other correlations, many promoted by locals in Mexico and the one used in Dreamspell, really can't be defended - the facts point toward the Goodman-Martinez-Thompson correlation. The bottom line is that Day-Signs offers readers information based on facts, not fiction or fancy or sheer laziness.
