In general, I am allergic to titles containing "Power..." or claims like "the best, the fastest, the easiest, the most effective...ever developed!" Most of the time it's a lot of bull. Nonetheless, I ventured into buying this book, and don't regret it one minute. This actually works! But it is not magic, but will-power that can make it work.

In this book, Ostrov gives wonderful tips and techniques for boosting your reading capabilities. This not only means using your eyes and your brain, but sometimes also your hands (such as working with a pacer). Ostrov is quite realistic and does not make ridiculous claims. Nonetheless, I know from experience that the book works, if one is willing to invest energy and time into it.

As a theologian working at a university, I have to read lots and lots of books and scholarly articles. Ostrov's book is one of the few really good books that gives you really good techniques to boost your reading speed. It certainly worked for me; in my research I am now able to read more books and articles in less time, without losing comprehension. This book is a bargain and worth every penny. If you have to read a lot, buy this book and be amazed of what you are capable of...

While this book may do what it says in the title I believe all prospective purchasers should know that in its e-book form you cannot print it out at all.
For some (like me) this makes it impossible to read the book and obtain any value from it. I have ordered the paperback instead.
