This is a really good guidebook. It’s more like a hostel listing with maps and attractions, rather than a list of a attractions with a few hostels thrown in. It’s the most thorough listing I’ve seen of hostels, well organized with good descriptions. The maps are clear and easy to follow. Most listings, both for hostels and attractions, include web addresses. It’s surprisingly complete in spite of being smaller than most guidebooks. I guess that’s because it doesn’t include restaurants and hotels. It is exactly what it claims to be, good info on hostels with the assumption that once you get to the hostel the people there will give the best, most current, local info. It’s a really nice way of doing a guidebook. I haven’t seen that concept before.
