4.0 out of 5 stars 'alec' & the History of the Graphic Novel, 5 Jan 2002
This excellent work by Mr. Campbell is a must for anyone who has dipped their sticky fingers into the UK comics scene over the past 25 years.

It skillfully tells Eddie's creative journey into the comics world, balancing his own ideals and struggles against the general backdrop of the developments in the UK comics scene from photocopied fanzines to the rise of the graphic novel.

Featuring comic legends as diverse as Alan Moore, Art Spiegelman and Hugo Pratt, Eddie reflects upon the way artists approach and create their work and the way the fruits of their labours are recieved.
