A real insight into how estate agents work. The information in this book will make you gasp when you learn about what estate agents do to us. However, the author also leaves you smiling by revealing what you need to know about the tricks being played on you and thanks to the tips provided you will be the one leaving the estate agent gasping for breath. I was also glad to hear about its publication on one of London's largest radio shows as it saved me having to call everyone I know that is currently dealing with estate agents. A real find, worth every penny and something I will be picking up again and again every time I think about buying or selling a property.

Truly an amazing book. Having bought my first property last year I had a bad experience with an estate agent. I was unhappy at the time but felt powerless in the whole process. I really benefited from reading this book. I could relate to many of the issues raised by the author namely the part on 'Emotional Spotting' which is a trap i fell into and also allowing the estate agents to not accept my 1st offer and not negiotiate with the vendors. I now know this is illegal and the book highlights the schemes all estate agents have up their sleeves and how to respond to it. I now know i could have put a note through the vendors door! I can use the invaluable information in this book and apply it when i sell my property and buy another one. I recommmend this book to anyone wishing to buy or sell at any point in their lives. Its so important that we are not blind to the world of estate agents. We have to do our homework. It can potentially save us alot of money if we know how the minds of these estate agents work as we can be more aware of their tactics and therefore beat them at their own game!

Having read this book im going to go out there and put it into action! Those estate agents better watch out!

Initially i thought to myself, there can`t be that much i dont know about estate agents having been an investor in London and buying and selling properties for years. However i thought i`d give it a try and this book proved me otherwise and im glad it did. This book certainly does what it says. for years estate agents in england have been known for their lack of professionalism and the lack of regulation over then allows them to do pretty much as they pleas and treat buyers and sellers poorly, hence they are some of the lowest ranked professionals in this country. This book is an excellent insight into the ways in which estate agents fool us and trick us in a number of unsuspecting scenarios that we as buyers and sellers would never even gve a second thought too. It starts with the traps or tactic, then gives you a number of examples where it`ll be used and then tells you how to counter it or avoid it and beat the estate agent at his own game. I especially reccomend this book to first time buyers, its vital knowledge for you and those considering selling their properties. Further to that the way in which it is presented is execllent, its not a typical rigid consumer guide book that gives you a limited solution based on the times, its written ins uch a way that its as flexible as the agents tactics themselves. It allows you to be inventive in your approach when dealing with estate agents based on a few rules, which many of us arent aware of or dont think to remember. An excellent book and a must if you`re thinking of buying or selling.
