Product Description

Synopsis

When June Patterson was brutally murdered on Streatham Common, the whole nation was sickened by the gruesome, cold-blooded killing. And everyone reckoned that it would only be a matter of time before the vicious killer was caught and brought to justice. But four years later, the police were no nearer to catching the killer than they were on day one. Somewhere out there, a killer was still on the loose, having himself a good laugh at the system that couldn?t bring him to justice. Multi-billionaire, Ronald Patterson, June?s father had an instinct that somebody, somewhere knew who he was. And he was determined to find the killer by all means. And when he hired Private Investigator, Mike Heaton, Heaton wasn?t very optimistic. If the police couldn?t solve the case in four years, he realized that his chances of finding the killer now, were not very good. But when Heaton started his own investigation, he suddenly realized that he?d opened a can of worms. And he found himself chasing a lead all the way to Jamaica, then all the way to Miami. The action has begun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review by Authors-Promotion, 29 Jul 2007
A story that seems to be designed for the big screen, Too Young To Die, by David Snowdon is a classic, detective story written with great care of details. Chapters are divided into scenes; in fact, that is the main facination of the novel: the author draws images that-similar to real pictures- can be figured out while reading, exactly as in a film.
The tale is told in first person by the protagonist, Mike Heaton, a private investigator called to find a solution to an unresolved murder of a young girl who was brutally stabbed to death.
Heaton is tough, made harsher by life, he just says what's strictly necessary, and is always able to look charming.
Starting from London, going to Jamaica and then to Miami, to close again in London, the story moves fast, full of many interesting characters, and places. Every place is described as if the author has lived there for a very long time to be able to give such a perfect image of it.
Everything looks as "deeply-lived" and essential as ever, thus keeping the reader in suspense, willing to read on and to know what will happen next.
