2.0 out of 5 stars Lacked bite...., 6 Jan 2007
By Walshylass (Glasgow, Scotland) - See all my reviews
I had really looked forward to reading this, but the style of writing is odd. The writer switches from first to third person, so much so that I checked to see if there was a ghost writer. I didn't like the mythical Frendonia, the attempts at comedy were cheesy and took away from the real substance of the book, which is fascinating.

5.0 out of 5 stars forensics wirh a bite, 26 Feb 2006
The world of forensic science can be far drier and dustier than portrayed in famous TV series. Nevertheless, it can at times involve drama and tension. Persephone Lewin, otherwise a comedienne extraordinaire(google her name if you do not believe me) has become a key backup to her husband's contributions in developing the area of bitemark and weapon analysis. In this book, she presents some of the highlights of their career to date, with wit, wisdom and erudition. A title that is not to be missed by anyone seeking to know what goes on behind the scenes of famous trials.

5.0 out of 5 stars a nourishing read!, 17 April 2006
By Dr. Corinne Duhig - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Fascinating, informative, hilarious and humane, this book and its cast of interesting and sometimes eccentric characters gives the perfect introduction to the subjects of forensic odontology and injury analysis. I recommend it to students, practitioners who would like to know more about this small specialist field and *anyone* interested in forensic science and crime investigation.
