I have to announce an interest here - the author is a friend and my company built her web site. But I am also a new widow - my husband died in 2003 - and particularly well-equipped to evaluate the book, having planned a funeral and being a professional writer myself.

The book is simple, easy to navigate and contains a mass of fresh ideas for readings, hymns, forms of service and all the details surrounding a funeral. It is the sort of book that would be useful to churches and funeral directors, as well as to the bereaved. It is essentially a Christian book, but could be used by anyone.
