Can you remember why you support & love the football team you do?
For me it was easy! I was born in 1965 almost a stones throw away from Elland Road & all Its glorious history, so I suppose It was never really in doubt that my allegance was going to be with Leeds United.
Fanthology is a collection of stories & anecdotes written by famous & not so famous Leeds fans for Leeds fans. The book covers such topics as "Choosing/being chosen by Leeds","Loyalty:Marching on together","Heroes,Gods & Humans","A Tour of Worldwide Whites","Memorable Occasions,Crucial Games","Outsiders" & perhaps most important at the moment for a Leeds fan "Can we face the future"?
To be perfecly honest, this was not the kind of book that I normally thought I would like so much, but as soon as I started reading It, I found It difficult to put down.It brought back many memories of good & bad times over the years & it was great to read the opinions & stories of other people about certain players / events and to see how they compared with my recollections !
I dont want to go on too much about how well its written & how great some of the stories are etc, but just to say that in these troubled times at Elland Road, it reminded me of why I am and will always be a Leeds fan.
I will finish by saying that Fanthology is a great read for any Leeds Utd fan, but would also appeal to any true football fan who understands the importance,elation & heartache of following his or her own team.

How did I become a Leeds United fan?
If you remember that first flash of commitment or you just grew into it, then this book will warm you up, make you smile and remind you of your commitment for years and years to come.
This book is an excellent mix of tales, poetry, fun, connections and recollections from across the world (well, mainly in the UK), that reveals the devotions to The Whites.
The other reviewers are right. Read it!

This is an excellent book. It's great to share the stories of fellow football fans. There are experiences and emotions to identify with on every page. This book is not only a must for all true Leeds fans but also for anybody who shares a passion for the game.
