From the Back Cover
GIVE MY REGARDS TO QUEEN STREET is a travellers tale, the tongue-in-cheek chronicle of a season on the road watching non-League football in the West Midlands.
Written during a campaign when the area's big clubs were never far from the headlines, the book views the contribution of their semi-pro counterparts to the regions football history.
From boardroom to terrace (though mainly in the bar or at the tea-hut) this is a unique snapshot of a forgotten tier of football culture. It's a long way from the glitz and glamour of the Premiership, but its inhabitants are like football people everywhere - dedicated, friendly, and with a keen sense of the ridiculous.
