Having used the 2000 edition to plan and enjoy our holidays and days out, we eagerly awaited the new copy. What hidden delights would it have for us? What unusual festivals, shows, places of interest would it display to us this year? The answer? None. It is a much shorter (a third of the size), much less comprehensive guide for the same price. It skims over the attractions and lacks the breadth of interests. My advice? Buy last years guide.
