Product Description

Product Description
For ages 8-12. In this next adventure in the "Time Trigger" Series, Alice and Robert discover two mysterious and powerful time triggers with links to the English City of Lincoln. Louise Dale's writing is a rich blend of classical adventures and tales from history. The young heroes are thoroughly modern 21st century children who find themselves face to face with some historical giants and plenty of danger and mystery. Alice and Robert travel on holiday to Rome. The pizzas are fantastic and the Roman sights are breathtaking. They manage to escape the critical eye of Robert's mother and his annoying cousin, Jessica, and accidentally discover some powerful time triggers with connections to the Roman Invasion of Britain. They are propelled back in time and come face to face with murderous Romans in their quest to rescue the daughter of the chieftain of an Ancient British tribe who has been taken as a slave. But first, they must unravel the truth about a mysterious young painter in the Catacombs of Rome when they time travel back to Renaissance Italy in the Sixteenth Century. There are plenty of dangers, surprising twists and exciting chases in this eagerly awaited second story.

About the Author
Louise Dale qualified as a doctor from Nottingham University and is now a GP. She lives in Nottinghamshire and is married with two daughters. Louise meticulously researches the historical and geographical content of her children's novels. In "The Curse of Rocamadour", she presents an unconventional perspective of King Richard as a ruthless and violent leader. She introduces a romantic explanation for the feud between King Richard and Prince John centred around the real life Lady Alys of France, to whom Richard was at one time betrothed. In the 'Keys of Rome', Alice and Robert are propelled by Time Triggers back to the time of Renaissance painters like Michelangelo and even further, to the savage era of Caesars and gladiators. Louise Dale is now working on her third novel in the 'Time Trigger' series, with many more planned, which will delight her young (and some not so young!) readers nationwide. She has received much acclaim for her first book and has a developing fan club, with fans and book buyers travelling long distances to attend readings at book festivals and book signings.
