'...a useful resource with sound advice for people coping with bereavement.'

Book Description

Coping with grief is never easy. This essential book will help everyone faced with the death of a loved one or a friend to find a way to handle grief and emerge a stronger person - both in the short term and in their outlook to life. The book, in a 'Tip a Page' format, aims to provide a basic understanding of why people grieve and to aid this process by offering an insight into the many mixed feelings and emotions that the bereaved may experience. The book is presented in a simple format that allows the reader to revert easily to themes and incidents that are relevant at particular times.

'A Journey Through Grief' is also an invaluable aid for bereavement counsellors and students seeking to present information in a straightforward manner.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Journey Through Grief : guidebook in a dark world, 14 Jun 2002
By A Customer
This book is what I would describe as an essential read for those going through the hell of bereavement. It's easy to dip into, and inspirational through and through. It's similar in concept to books like 'The Little Book of Calm', and that's where it scores highly in my view. Buy it for someone who's lost someone, you will be helping them more than you could know..

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb first aid book for the bereaved, 4 Jul 2002
By A Customer
I found this book similar to a self-help format book. A cute size ideaL keeping it in my handbag. A very useful tip style book, gave me lots of comfort from knowing that the grief cycle is shared by others, in similar ways. I learnt that grief cannot be hurried and that the strange feelings and thoughts I was experiencing were indeed very natural. Buy it if you have suffered a bereavement, it's like first aid!!
