5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous, 21 Jul 2003
By A Customer
If you like books that transport you directly to other places you'll love this. You'll soon be amongst the sights and sounds and smells of India and Nepal (and Birmingham!), living a story that is compelling and sensitive to nuances of friendship and family. Every page sparkles with graceful writing, full of sensuous detail that takes you deeper into the characters: love, jealousy and loss are the themes, and above all the adventure of being alive.
