Most modern football books are thrown together with little regard for accuracy in my experience. This one has been well researched and put together. Although there are some errors, I like the touch that the author recognises that he is not perfect! Encyclopaedias are very hard to make interesting although this is as good as I have read. A similarly titled work of the last couple of years looks like it was put together in an evening compared to this. It's a good year for Villa books with this and Children of the Revolution. I've bought both and would recommend both.
