FRCS Trauma & Orthopaedics examination is a nightmare! Reading for the examination and travelling to work was not easy for me. Most of us travel to work and out of 3 to 4 hours of daily reading time we end up spending about an hour travelling.

I had to find a way to make use of my travelling time, and this was my inspiration to produce AUDIOCASSETTES. Revision handbook with it is designed for easy revision of what you have listened to in the cassette.

Competition in this examination is so great that you will have to know lot more of theory than you think. I found these audiocassettes to be extremely helpful in revising and remembering the never-ending classifications, definitions and important examination oriented trauma & orthopaedic topics.

The publication of the book FRCS Trauma and Orthopaedics by Mr I S Talkhani is certainly a great boon to all those preparing for this examination.I can say this with confidence as I have recently passed this exam in my first attempt.

I had the privilege of being able to use the pre-publication copy of this book which was available during the basic sciences course at Oswestry.I made quite extensive use of it as a revision handbook in my preparation.The compact size was very handy as I could easily carry it around with me everywhere.The added bonus is that it also comes on four audio-cassettes each of ninety minutes.I could make very good use of these in the time that I spent everyday in travelling to and from work.

Having read a multitude of large textbooks while preparing for the exam I had often felt a great need for a small revision handbook.I could not find any such book.The arrival of this book has filled in this niche.

Most of the important topics for the exam are covered in this book.The large subject matter has been divided into eight sections.Each in turn deals with the most common topics.Mr Talkhani has succeeded very well in compressing a vast amount of information in such a small book.He certainly deserves to be congratulated.

I would however like to stress that book is not a substitute for the major textbooks.It should be used as a study aid for revision after having read the major textbooks.I can certainly recommend this book as a best buy to all those praparing for this exam.

This is an excellent exam book with cassette for the exam revision.
Most of us travel to work for an hour each day and that time on the cassette does lot of good work for revision
It will be very helpful if this is on a CD format

My congratulations to Mr I S Talkhani for his effort to bring this book in good shape

Audio Tapes provide excellent way of using "wasted time" travelling in the panick run up to the big test. Recomended.
