A must -have for anyone interested in the literature of Wales, this excellent re-issue by the tiny Walcott Press is a thoughtful addition to the canon. An introduction by the leading Powys scholar of the day sets the context for what is a really good read. A fictionalised account of the last native-born Prince of Wales, it nontheless sheds a fascinating light on the personalities and the history of the period. Read it as a lament for the loss of independence, as a terrific tale of indomitable spirit, or as straight historical fiction - you won't be disappointed.
