5.0 out of 5 stars I loved this book, I couldn't put it down..., 22 Jul 2008
The story and the characters are compelling and you find yourself asking yourself what you would honestly do if presented with the same situation and dilemma...it's not an easy question to answer at all and yet at the same time it's an easy one too!

I loved this book and to give any detail here would take something away from you if you're thinking of reading it. I have however gone on to read and also really enjoy every book Sarah Turner has written since this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars the kind of book you wish you had written yourself, 27 Jan 2001
By A Customer
I read this book whilst travelling home to Aberdeen by train. I opened it in Doncaster and was still glued as we pulled into Aberdeen and the guard suggested that now might be a good time to leave. Sarah Turner weaves a magical feel around her characters and speaks of a time that no longer exists. Her powers of description and story telling are beyond reproach - this author is one to watch for the future
