Product Description
Synopsis
Karl knows that, if he is to carry out orders to lead a bomb attack on the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth, he will probably kill his English cousin. But he has no choice. After the war, and consumed with guilt, he returns to England. Did he kill Andrew?

From the Author
An unexpected spin-off from Dartmouth Conspiracy was a bagful of letters from readers. It proved to me that there are many out there who, like me, witnessed the true event that inspired me to write this story: the bombing of the Royal Naval College on 18th September 1942.

One of these letters was from an ex-RAF fighter pilot from 310(Czech) Squadron, now living in Norfolk, who sent me photos of Squadron Leader Dolezal and Flight lieutenant Kimlika who helped repulse German raiders over Dartmouth on that fateful morning.

Another letter came from the nephew of a Wren Petty Officer who was sadly killed in the raid but, thanks to my reader, I was able to show a photograph of her to my father aged 97, a fellow member of college staff at the time.

I have mentioned just two but there were many more letters; some sad, some amusing but all absolutely fascinating to read. I treasure them all and have thanked all their senders for such a delightful and unexpected reward.

James Stevenson

5.0 out of 5 stars un-put-downable. A gripping read from start to finish, 31 Dec 2000
By A Customer
Dartmouth Conspiracy is a wonderfully writen book which held me captivated from the very first page. I am not usually a reader of war type books but having had it given to me as a present I thought I should "give it a go". I found that chores around the house were building up as I was so "into" this book that I could not put it down. I would not call it a "male" read. I hope that the author, James Stevenson, will write another book in the near future. I was feeling bereft once I had finished it.
