(REAL NAME)   
A cracking good read, funny, sometimes sad, gives a great feeling of being there in a time capsule. Author has a lovely descriptive turn of phrase. Not just for people interested in the 2nd world war but an autobiogrpahical story of author's life, from a young boy dying to go to sea to a young disabled war veteren trying to fit in after the war. Has everything including a bit of romance.
