more "tails" of Abigail and Henry and a lucky Irish rescue!, 25 Feb 2000
Anyone involved in animal rescue should enjoy this true story of a little bichon rescue from an Irish puppymill who wriggled his way into the hearts and home of the Briggs family. Named after the late Charles' Schulz character Charlie Brown, this namesake hits a home run when he's adopted into *this* home! Written in a style reminiscent of Willie Morris' MY DOG SKIP and Virginia Woolf's FLUSH, BICHONS THREE is an entertaining, sometimes poignant account of a little Irish bichon who finally experiences "the luck of the Irish". If you're familiar with the antics of Abigail and Henry from THE BICHON BUG and BICHONS NATURALLY by Joan Briggs, you will be happy to know that both Abigail and Henry receive their due in BICHONS THREE as well :-)
