I enjoy Darkside Magazine greatly and Im sure Alan Bryce is a cult horror editor to many people. However, this book (which really appealed to me on its annitial release)gets somewhat tiresome as the more you read it for research or just enjoyment it becomes painfully clear that Mr Bryce doesnt really LIKE any of these films. Obviously, his honesty is great and he isnt trying to put money into the pocket of these films directors, it just seems like he either watched most of them on fast forward or not at all! For a fan of this era of horror video it would be nice if a bit of Jay Slaters humor or optimism came across. Ive been put off watching most these films now as appaently they are'nt good. Like we didn't know this but sometimes this reads like it was compiled by a fan of mainstream hollywood films. Love the sleeves though!!!

Nice seeing a list of the old and slightly more recent banned BBFC films. The pages with the original VHS picture sleeves is a great touch too. Some nice touches in there telling what parts are cut from the movies and their length, what copies to look out for and what ones to avoid.
