A wake up call to humanityI wrote "Uncommon Sense" as a wake-up call to humanity. Most seem to think that we must get government to sort out our big problems, but I will argue that government itself is inescapably the biggest problem on the planet. We have hundreds of them spending vast sums protecting themselves from each other - and maintaining their grip and control of those within the borders they command. More precious resources are squandered on hapless schemes, corruption, and ham-fisted efforts to shape society to a pre-conceived status quo. You needn't be confused by this apparent madness any more, or regard it as an inevitable only option.
New science "chaos theory" shows us why the coercive efforts of the state are doomed to regular failure. At the same time, it shows us how our evolving society has naturally brought about such a great, albeit threatened civilization. This science demonstrates that it is the nature of the universe, operating freely, to create order and harmony in complex systems - such as that which we call society. "Uncommon Sense" is not a learned long-winded treatise, nor a New Age ramble. It is a positive and sensible book, that most readers find thought-provoking, funny and optimistic - whilst being one of the most peacefully subversive books they had ever read.
