I bought this book for my six year old, who is very concerned with the environment and he loved it.I also thought that it was a wonderful and sensitive way to inspire children to question and be "free-thinkers", and to understand the consequences of our actions.
This book is a little gem and a fantastic easy to read modern tale that I am sure, will raise questions for both children and adults.I can't wait to read "The little politician" also by the same author, which I am certain it will be as refreshing as "The little driver".

This is an excellent book for a child to read to him/herself. They would need to be a relatively fluent reader who wants to read a chapter book to themselves but would get bogged down in anything too lengthy and over wordy.
The story itself is an adventure, which children love to be part of, and keeps them reading to see what happens next. It has short catchy chapters that keep the reader involved.
It is also good to see a book that challenges the way we think about driving and this can only be a good influence on our children for the future.
I read this book to my child and she really enjoyed it, looking forward to the next nightly installment.
