MAKE SURE THAT WHEN YOU ORDER YOUR BOOK YOU GET THE HARDBACK, BECAUSE WHEN I ORDERED THIS I ENDED UP WITH THE SOFTBACK, AFTER PAYING HARDBACK PRICE

If you want to know about the history and development of a mastiff breed this book is great. Also if you're interested in hunting dogs, this is a beneficial read. Even if you're only concerned with one particular breed, their histories are usually related, so the whole book is absorbing.
