From the Author
The life and times of a 1951 to 1991 RAF pilot.I hesitate to call this an autobiography after my daughter said, But, Dad, youre not famous enough! Let it just be the reminiscences of a long serving, 1951 to 1991, Royal Air Force pilot. Through these, there is an insight into life in the peacetime Service.
There is a saying along the lines, Give me the boy until he is seven and Ill give you the man. Believing this to be true, I have described my early years in some detail. What could be heavy going is relieved by the fact that my father was somewhat eccentric and provided me with some crazy memories!
In fact, there is a light hearted approach throughout. Service life is a breeding ground for natural humour and many amusing incidents are related.
For me, my journey through life has been interesting and enjoyable. I am sure that you will find interest and enjoyment on this guided trip, by my side, down my Memory Lane.
