I have just received the 2nd edition of this popular book. It's easy to read with none of the usual technical legal jargon that you get in other legal books. As a new landlord, I find it so useful as suggests suitable wording for all sorts of situations where I need to put things in writing, and warns me of things to watch out for when picking suitable tenants. A very handy little book and good value at the price! R. Favell, Leicester

This is not bad if you are totally unfamiliar with the law about landlord-tenant relationships (like me). The book has some useful information and interesting anecdotes. However, it took me about three hours to read the entire book. It is just too basic. It would have been nicer to see a book with the same intuitive writing but covering the topic (much) more extensively. The point I missed most is the lack to proper references to the actual paragraphs in the law. If you should really run into serious problems you would need a much better reference. But it is not all that bad. It is (surprisingly) rather enjoyable to read and gets you started. So, if you are just interested in this matter, go for it. If you need proper serious legal advice, look elsewhere.
