the maps in this book are poor and not very detailed,but the shopping guide is just about useful. i would not recomend

I bought this book because I needed a guide to help me get around Calais, especially the shopping. This book is fantastic. The review of the outlets were spot on and the wine recommendations were brilliant. I bought about 30 different wines from the outlets recommended. I also saved money because there are discounts and free wine everywhere. Even some restaurants were offering wine or a free drink. When the shopping was sorted I particuarly enjoyed the detours and the out of the way places the guide recommends. Ideal for use on a short trip to Calais or Boulogne.

I thought this book was excellent, especially if you have never been to Calais before and you want to stock up on booze, etc...! It tells you the best places to go for shopping and how to make the most of your short trip. I would be lost without this little book.
