About the Author

David Paterson – born Perth, Scotland, Feb 1945; educated Golspie High School and Edinburgh University. Professional photographer since 1971 winning many awards for commercial work, and author since mid-1980s. His 14 titles for far include three books on London, two on the Himalayas and several on the Scottish Highlands. He is currently working on a major book on the Highland Clearances.
