If you buy this one - you'll want to buy the others !

I should first of all say that this is perhaps not a book for the casual reader. Barry Blunt has produced a series of books to commemorate the activities of the wartime Pathfinder 'Light Night Striking Force' Mosquitoes before it is too late, and the stories are lost forever.

These privately-published books are a triumph of one man's dedicated research ; all the usual operational details are included together with many rare photos of aircraft and aircrew, and many wonderful anecdotes detailing what life was really like on those bleak airfields in 1944/45.

For those interested in the Mosquito or the story of the Pathfinder Force, this series of books - of which '571' was the first - are an essential addition to your bookshelves !
