This book of Blakemore's beautiful photography is a valuable addition to any collection, and an inspiration for photographers interested in the Spiritual Landscape and depicting the passage of time. Including sections each offering a selection of images from various pojects, Blakemore explores the expression of emotion through the metaphor of landscape photography, and his organic images of plants, bones and other collected objects imply growth and decay over the passage of time. This book, with its often-ambiguous imagery, provokes thought and introspection, and is something that will likely be referred back to again and again. I bought this book as a reference for my dissertation when I was at university many years ago, but have read through it again many times since. I have also attended one of Blakemore's photography workshops, and found the man himself to be one of the most insightful and instructively encouraging people I have ever been lucky enough to meet. I highly recommend this and any of Blakemore's books.

What a beautiful book. I studied Blakemore a photography collage. The pictures just take my breath away every time I look at them.
I would recamend this book to everyone, but especialy buddy microcozmic landscape photographers.
