5.0 out of 5 stars How can a person be so honest and true?, 11 Sep 2002
By A Customer
How can a person be so honest and true to himself as well as to others like Mr. Aiden Shaw?
This poetry is a manifestation of himself.
It is filled with his feelings; such as anger, anxiety, loving-compassion, solitude, frustration, affection, greif, hope and so on.
Some poems may seem disturbing to some people, but you will feel his inner soul filled with affection.
It touches your heart. It surely touched mine.
I can't express my appreciation of his work well enough.
If you read it, then you will know.
I wish he would publish more of his poetry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, 9 Mar 2004
By Ms. JM Nurse - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Some might find Shaw's blunt, honest style intimidating or shocking, but he communicates fierce passion and fragile sensitivity with amazing understanding of emotion. With some of his work he places the reader in an awkward position of voyeurism, forcing them to feel his own vicious lust. In other poems his use of certain words and metaphors evokes a much gentler, lighter feel, as he tries to describe love and confusion. You can't help but read on, and by the end you feel real compassion and empathy for Shaw.

My friends and I all adore this book, but I suppose it is an aquired taste; if you are close-minded you will hate it. If you appreciate great poetry you will love it.
