Ron Turnbull is a little mad, "I thought the going was a little easy so I decided to run part of my 45 mile walk to make it tougher!"

45 mile walks seem extreme to most of us, when Turnbull suggests including all the three thousand feet peaks in the Lakes and completing this in less than 24 hours the proof is unquestionable.

This is an excellent book that provides a lot of food for thought, great routes that will suit walkers and fell runners. From the extreme Bob Graham round to a 23 mile walk across the east lake District from Windermere to Penrith this book has the lot.

This is an excellent book to read over the winter, dreaming for the summer and planing your adventures. For anyone who wants a new challenge in the Lake District this book is a must have.
