A typically detailed Victorian record of the history of Boston (UK), first published in 1856. It is the definitive history of the town providing a mine of information for historians and genealogists alike. The detail to which the book goes gives a real sense of how people lived in Britain from Roman times to the 19th century which reaches far beyond an interest in the local history of Boston.

The current edition of this classic work is a faithful reproduction of the original with the original engravings including a detailed fold-out illustration of the East Window of the famous St Botolph's Church. This volume not only looks good on your bookshelf, but will reward your dipping into it for many years to come.
