Yes we all have dreams to help people, to help those who no one has been able to help before, but in this book Plass discovers dreams are very different to reality, and then how he copes. I laughed and cried. Well worth the effort of reading

A beautiful and inspiring piece of work by one of the best Authors in the land!
This book had me in tears as well as stitches,and I want to run out and work with kids like the lads in this book-everyone must read this book to gain a true understanding of so-called 'maladjusted' children.

Adrian Plass never ceases to encapture the depth of feeling that a human experiences in times of fear, pain or sheer joy. This book takes him on a journey to a school for malajusted children and shows honesty in his experiences of fearing them, loving them, and struggling to come to terms with the reasons they are there and how he can help them. A wonderful read and one that had me captivated.
