5.0 out of 5 stars would reccommend for any collector of first edition books, 7 Feb 2002
I think this book is very imformative for any new collecter of first edition books, like myself. The book is set out to not only to tell you what the value of modern first editions are but to also tell you how to store your valueble books and how not to store them. There is also a lot of info on the authors themselves,it tells you how many books where in the first print run, and how much people are willing to pay for them,I never knew our important the dust jacket is to the value of a book. But the author also talks of the romance in having a true first edition in your collection.
There is a lot of research gone into this book with over 2000 titles and 200 hundred authors reviewed. unfortunatly none of my books are in there but hopefuly 1 or 2 will be in the next one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Breese's Guide, 8 Aug 2002
By El Loro "El Pinarillo Books" (London, England) - See all my reviews

Useful but not brilliant. Some useful info on a handful of authors, some vague - possibly out of date - values, and some interesting background information. If I were you, I would consider befriending a good second hand book dealer instead. As well as getting more precise information and a better idea of prices, you should be able to wangle some tasty discounts!
