This is a good one, the projects are well instructed and adaptable, there is plenty of illustration and a good section on craft fairs and selling work. Full of ideas as well as instructions.

Focus is mainly on a hotwire machine (although there is plenty of stuff written about solid point, the projects were more geared towards a hot wire) but this is the author's preference so I can't complain.

as a woodturning instructor , I recently decided to incorporate pyrography to enhance and highlight my products, and I can honestly say that stephen pooles book is the best that I have ever read on the subject. the way he explains this wonderful craft, makes it easy for anyone to take it up. I sincerely reccomend this book to all who are interested in crafts.

Pyrography books are rare and this book is a welcome addition to a Pyrographers bookcase. Concise and informative it might be, although, complete it is not. Pyrography on wood is covered, but misses out mentioning it's usage on Leather or paper. The wood discussed, is of English or European origin and is of no use to Australian Pyrographers. Other than those shortcomings,This is a good reference book for hints and tips on this fascinating craft.
