5.0 out of 5 stars BEFORE BUYING PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS THE CORTINA MANUAL, 30 Jan 2004
By Justin "Justin" (Bristol, England) - See all my reviews
This book leads me to ask the inevitable question: Is this the greatest car of all time?
For many, the Cortina is/was a piece of Wombat's doos but for some this car was Ford's answer to the Jaguar. Even when new the first Cortina's must have been second hand as they were rolling off the production line. Only the Cortina could contradict itself in this way and get away with it. The secret of the Cortina's greatness lies in the fact that this is was the only car ever built solely made out of old household appliances. You can keep your McLaren F1's and your Jaguar xj220's. I can't afford them anyway. Heck, I couldn't even afford the wombat's doos on the tyres. The Cortina is a true great. Is this the best car on the world? I think so.
