Hi there-- this past year, my publishers at Cleis Press asked me what I thought about doing a 2nd edition of Lesbian Sex World, since it's still so popular as a lesbian primer on a way of life as well as a sex guide. I said I would love to do a new edition, and I had three new stories to add to it. The first new piece is about my expereince being the lesbian sex consultant for the movie BOUND with Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly, which was nothing less than heaven. The 2nd new chapter is a story about how I compare the Lilith Fair to your average dyke music fest--- and finally, the third new essagy is my last word on bisexuality and femme-ness. Hope you all enjoy the new stories--- this book changed my life; and from what I've heard from you over the years, the feeling was mutual! Although this book does contain large sections on some basic lesbian sex advice, it is not really a sex guide: The main content of the book concerns lesbian culture - what lesbians do in thier spare time, where lesbians meet, etc,

It is an american book, the consequences of which made it dissapointing for me as a British reader. This is because american lesbian culure is different to British lesbian culture, so many of the jokes were lost on me, and the advice unapllicable.

Saying this, I would imagine that this book could be useful for americans, and is still good fun for lesbians anywhere.

Please note however also that the book is a second edition of the original, there is very little added, and as such it is not worth buying if you already have the first edition.
