I'm building a second boat using epoxy ply(first boat was a ply canoe) and am restoring an old norse faering. I've found this book to be a fascinating read and huge practical help. It is the best I have read so far.

I'm working towards building a copy of one of the double ended skiffs used in the Scottish islands until recently and expect the book to be invaluable in that project.

This book it is not about small boatbuilding. It is about boatbuilding using wood and the traditional wood techniques. For some decades now that these techniques are obsolete. A full waste of money for someone really thinking about building a small boat.
