The author attempts to 'cover all bases' in a remarkably brief and clear account of many recurrent problems and their solution; the defects of this approach are the converse of its virtues: you may want to know about how to get the frame-counter going again on one (very) peculiar model anf may have to depend on Mr. Tomosy's rather breezy account of how to do it in general. U.K. readers will find that there is not a lot of help in the lists of suppliers, manufacturers, etc as the great moajority of these are in America ( although Camera Bellows of Runcorn, achieve honourable mention). Probably the greatest 'saving grace' of the book, however - compared to some similar, and similarly-priced books, is its excellent photographic illustrations, no poorly-produced photocopies here! I have found the book - and its successor, Book 2, most helpful: so much so that I am on the point of ordering another of Thomas Tomosy's books.

Easy reading for a difficult subject. Removes a lot of the mysteries siurrounding the subject.
