5.0 out of 5 stars Indispensable for training and building training frames, 22 Jan 2000
By A Customer
I have had this book now for 5 years and I am alway coming back to it, The content is easy to read with good illistrations and pictures. The chapter on building climbing frames was especialy easy to follow and I built my own woodie frame first in 1996 and have since built one in 1999 which just goes to prove that this book is indispencable. I used the training chapters to tone my training and won the Army championships first time at HVS to E1. If there is ever a book that deserves to be bought it is this

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent tips on training techniques for climbers., 23 Aug 1998
By A Customer
This is the only training book in my climbing library - probably because I don't need anything else. The amount of knowledge passed on by top climbers is large and complete: including in- depth topics on diet, muscle physiology, and mental techniques. This book can help beginners avoid common training pitfalls and intermediate + advanced climbers look for new ways to push past their current limits. Excellent.
