4.0 out of 5 stars excellent, 20 Jan 2001
easy to read, I have read this book before but now I am purchasing my own copy. As a drama teacher, I found the games fun and entertaining whilst still teaching necessary techniques. A must!

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 28 Mar 2006
Plenty of great ideas that can be used directly from the book, or adapted to suit the group of students you're working with. Many fun games and useful techniques to build confidence and skills. An expensive book, but a useful resource -a worthwhile buy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't judge a book by its cover, 5 Jun 2008
By CSW (Stroud, England) - See all my reviews
This book probably contains a lot of useful ideas if you are prepared to read through it carefully and adapt things. But the layout is dull, old-fashioned and not very user-friendly. It is illustrated with naff black and white photographs that are almost funny (though I'm sure they're not intended to be). To anyone working in the UK the content is also irritatingly American. If you're looking for a good source of games for drama workshops, which is easy to dip into, this is definitely NOT it.

3.0 out of 5 stars A very American Book
This book does have lots of ideas, i found some of them quite odd. Be prepared to adapt them to suit yourself. This book is very American orientated. Read more
