5.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Modern Esoteric Tarot, 8 Mar 2006
This Tarot deck is the very best for serious buyers. Georgio Tavaglione knows his stuff and his artwork and knowledge of esoteric subjects is impressive. Each of the Trumps shows the traditional attributes AND the path associated with the Trump on the Tree of Life. The accompanying booklet is delightful, packed with information, printed from GT's original calligraphy. I can still browse through the deck and the booklet and find something new. Tavaglione's interpretations are thought provoking. For example, as well as the traditional dog at his heels The Fool carries in his bag a jumble of alchemical symbols and a crocodile hides in the grass at his feet.

Other decks may be collectible, traditional and just as good for simple purposes, but for detail and esoteric study as well as beauty (not to mention a FREE booklet that I would PAY for) it cannot be beaten. I would happily pay twice the price to replace my copy of this Tarot deck if I had to.

We have two of these decks in the society library. Out of two dozen different decks this tarot is the best. one deck is pristine, the other well used. If you offered 5000, we wouldn't sell.
